On April 9, the Vermont Jump$tart Coalition was pleased to preside over the signing of a proclamation to declare April as Financial Literacy Month in Vermont. Governor Peter Shumlin graciously signed the proclamation and recognized the commitment demonstrated by the Vermont Jump$tart Coalition.
In addition, the State Treasurer’s Office held its annual Financial Literacy Awards Ceremony in Montpelier. State Treasurer Beth Pearce recognized student accomplishments in the Reading is an Investment program and the Be Money Wise financial literacy poster contest. Both statewide programs are directed by the Treasurer’s office.
